A matrimony of words,
Spanning the alphabet from A to Z,
But what followed were some
Of the sweetest I've heard,
A girl ever say to me.
You gave me a sobriquet,
And inverted the hourglass,
To a time when all that mattered was play,
And being on time to class—
But being punctual has never been my propensity;
Before it's too late, this truth I must confess...
"If...I could time travel,
Or alter the time-space continuum,
With you I'd stand upon tremulous gravel,
And comfort thine soul with a sweet song;
I'd tell you you're beautiful,
Wrap you in my arms,
Protect you from all harm."
However, such now isn't meant to be,
For such a union would be an anachronism,
But if two years shall find our arms empty,
Together we can fall into that fateful chasm...
I promise to first and foremost be your friend,
And I want you to enjoy this new adventure...
Just know your anchor in my heart you can append—
At my pier you can always moor...
Never hesitate an s.o.s. to send,
Call me, Love, and I'll be there...
